In Wales
Met future Basque MEP Inaki Irazabalbeitia (a member of Eusko Alkartasuna) in Cardiff to discuss political developments in Wales and the Basque country.
Farm visit at Gwern Farm, Llanwnda, Gwynedd, to witness first-hand the failures in the electronic tagging of sheep (EID) system that the EU introduced despite huge protests.
Visited Remploy, Porth, Rhondda, to meet workers to support their campaign to save Remploy
Spoke at an OXFAM meeting in the National Assembly to re-launch the campaign for a Robin Hood Tax.
Backed Hywel Williams MP in objecting to the proposed closure of the DVLA in Bangor.
Chaired the Plaid Leadership Hustings at Caernarfon and Neath.
With AMs Bethan Jenkins and Lindsay Whittel met Sinn Fein representatives - Raymond McCartney (Assembly Group Leader); Sean Oliver (Director of their European Department); Jayne Fisher (Head of their London office). Discussed closer co-operation between our parties.
Met with Menter Mon, who showed me examples of how European funding is spent, including on job opportunities in the local area
In the European Parliament
Supported making contracts between farmers and dairy producers mandatory but we lost the vote. The Welsh Government did not support compulsory contracts to protect Welsh farmers.
Met councillors from Llandudno Town Council visiting the European Parliament
Began work on a review of the EU's Animal Welfare Strategy as the Greens/EFA spokesperson on the issue.
Met with RSPB Cymru to discuss the Habitats Directive.
Met First Minister Carwyn Jones who was in Bussels for a St David's Day reception.
